The Law Society of Zimbabwe runs a comprehensive partly self-funding and partly donor funded programme of continuing legal training for its members to ensure better service delivery, constant renewal of skills, better ethical standards, awareness of current trends and improvement of practical skills. The programmes take the form of regional workshops and national seminars. Besides its own training programme, the Law Society Council constantly reviews the quality of legal training offered by approved institutions and when necessary intervenes to secure improvement or in bad cases, discontinuation of programmes that do not meet the minimum expected high standards of the legal profession. The Law Society also participates and partners the Faculty of Law in its LLB programme by providing internship/attachment to all students intending to graduate with the LLB (Hons.) degree. The law Society of Zimbabwe through its Continuing Legal Education Programme provides training to legal practitioners on topical issues or problem areas in the law.
